Peer Review Process

Turkish Journal of Mathematics Education (TUJME)  is an open access, international and double blind peer-reviewed journal. Articles sent to TUJME are requested to evaluate by two reviewers as long as suitable for our focus and content. Two positive decisions are required for an article to be considered for publication.

In case one of the referees reviews the articles positively and the other negatively, Editorial Board examines referees reviews and may decide to send the article to a third referee to evaluate or return it to its author. If any of the referees accept the article with revisions requiring, Editorial Board makes the final decision and reserve the right to reject it in case revision are not made.

Turkish Journal of Mathematics Education (TUJME) focuses on disseminating top-tier research in mathematics education. We uphold the reliability and excellence of our published works through a comprehensive peer review system.

Manuscript Submission: Articles are exclusively accepted through the Open Journal System (OJS), ensuring full compliance with the journal's formatting and ethical standards.

Initial Evaluation: The editorial team conducts a preliminary review to confirm that the manuscript aligns with the journal's scope. Submissions failing to meet these requirements may be declined during this stage.

Originality Check: All submitted manuscripts are subjected to plagiarism detection using advanced software to verify the originality of the content. Submissions with substantial plagiarism concerns are declined.

Reviewer Assignment: The editor selects at least two independent reviewers with expertise in the manuscript's subject area to evaluate its content.

Double-Blind Peer Review: TUJME follows a double-blind review process, ensuring that both reviewers and authors remain anonymous to maintain objectivity.

Evaluation Criteria: Reviewers assess the manuscript based on originality, methodological soundness, clarity of presentation, and its contribution to the field.

Reviewer Feedback: Reviewers submit detailed reports offering constructive feedback and recommendations, including acceptance, minor revisions, major revisions, or rejection.

Author Communication: Authors are informed of the editorial decision and provided with anonymized reviewer comments to assist them in making any required revisions.

Author Revisions: When revisions are requested, authors must thoroughly address all reviewer feedback and submit the revised manuscript within the given deadline.

Reassessment: The revised manuscript may be returned to the original reviewers for further evaluation to confirm that all issues have been satisfactorily resolved.

Acceptance: The manuscript is approved for publication once it fulfills all academic and quality standards. Proofreading: Accepted manuscripts are meticulously proofread and formatted to ensure precision and consistency.
